FOUR PARTS

a collaboration with

Strong Harbour Strings Collective

Four dancers, four musicians

rehearsed in isolation,

performed in community.

Set in the round, four players and four movers interpret the four parts of Jessie Montgomery’s score, ‘Strum’. The viewer observes the performance from the centre out. At once harmonizing and caterwauling, Four Parts is a glorious fever dream.

Untellable Movement Theatre's Four Parts, a collaboration with Strong Harbour Strings Collective, is produced in partnership with Neighbourhood Dance Works and is made possible by the Arts and Culture Centres’ Arts Connector Program.

A 360-degree version of the performance, optimized for cellphones, was presented by the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts and Culture Centres from February 18 to March 4, 2021.

The non-360-degree version will be screening 2021-2022. Four Parts is an official selection for the 2021 Nickel Independent Film Festival and the FIN Atlantic International Film Festival.
